In a significant update, the Microsoft Outlook app for Android and iOS devices has been enhanced with new features, as announced by Microsoft last Monday. The updates, indicated by 4.2418.0, feature notable improvements to message composition and calendar functionality, as well as bug fixes for both versions.
What’s new in Outlook for iOS
iPhone users can now enjoy an increase in Outlook’s efficiency and security. One of the innovations is the inclusion of the “Report Message” option directly in the list of swipe actions, expanding the tools against unwanted or suspicious communications. Additionally, there is deeper integration with Office 365 Box, allowing the use of a local account. This functionality provides users with a secure space in the Microsoft cloud to easily store and share files.
Another relevant advance concerns the composition functionality. Now, users can directly resend messages from the “Sent” folder, optimizing communications management. Additionally, details about meetings scheduled in Teams can be accessed directly from the event in the calendar, making it easier to organize and access related conversations.
Innovations in Outlook for Android
For Android users, the update enriches the experience with improvements to events, search and calendar. A significant change is the expansion of the ability to search for past events, which now covers up to a year, surpassing the previous limit of six months.

Microsoft has also added a Teams tab to Outlook, where you can search for Teams chat messages. When selecting a message, the user is directed to the same content in the Teams mobile app; If you don’t have the app installed, you will be redirected to the Google Play Store.
Improvements to composition and events are consistent with those introduced in the iOS version. Additionally, the update fixes issues that prevented the Single Sign-On process for Microsoft 365 accounts from being successful in some cases.
Microsoft Copilot arrives on Telegram
In another recent development, Microsoft has expanded the boundaries of artificial intelligence by integrating its AI Copilot chatbot into Telegram. With a limit of 30 interactions per day, this functionality allows Telegram users to chat with the bot, ask questions and browse the internet. Although still in the beta phase, this innovation is now available free of charge to all users.
These updates reflect Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to improving the Outlook user experience on mobile devices by constantly introducing new features that promote greater efficiency and security.
